Does it matter where our children Learn? The effects of Architecture on Educational Outcome
School buildings represent an important public asset and source of major elements of the cost of education. The growing body of evidence suggests that sound buildings, designed with educational outcomes in mind, will, in fact, aid the goals of education both from the standpoint of academic achievement and social-emotional development. During the course of 4 years over 1000 public educational facilities Pre-kindergarten through 12th graded were studied and evaluated to understand, detail the criteria and produce evidence that reveals architecture can and does affect educational outcome.
